River City FC Will be hosting our Annual tryouts and assessments for the 2024/2025 season on June 9.
All sessions will take place at the Shire located at 10609 Tesshire Drive in Affton.

Programs At River City FC:
- Juniors: Looking for a soccer program in St. Louis that welcomes all boys and girls aged U7-U10, regardless of skill level? Look no further than the River City FC Juniors Program! Here, everyone has a place to play, grow, and have fun. No tryouts! No Cuts! Fun & development focused while teaching players how to compete.
- Competitive: Our competitive program is the next step from the River City FC juniors. In the competitive program teams are formed in each birth year group by ability level. The competitive program is a step below the River City FC Academy but all players in the Competitive program are eligible to be "Called up" to an academy team if staff believe they are ready. The competitive program is for players U11-U18.
- Academy: The top of the RCFC Development Pyramid. For elite players ages u12-U18. players are selected to the academy based on their ability, attitude, commitment, and drive. Players who want to be part of the RCFC Academy must be 100% committed. Academy Teams are formed in the U12, U14, U16 & U18 age groups and include players in two birth years.
Fees & Financial Assistance:
- Low Yearly Club Fees: RCFC Club fees are some of the lowest in the STL Region while also providing high level coaching and player development.
- Financial Assistance: Players & Families are eligible for financial assistance through our River city FC Promise Program. To Date Families have been awarded over $60,000 to cover club fees, very often receiving 100% assistance for their player.
- Experienced coaches: Our passionate and qualified coaches are dedicated to creating a positive learning experience for every child.

Q - What is the difference between an assessment & tryout?
A - The RCFC Juniors program is open to all players and we do not hold a tryout to participate. Instead we hold an assessment session for all those players who would like to join the Juniors program to ensure Our staff can develop individual learning plans for the players. With that said we can not accept all players into the program due to limitations on rosters sizes.
The RCFC Competitive & Academy program is tryout based and players are selected for participation on those teams based on their ability, character, and commitment.
Q - Does my player need to attend the assessment/tryout? What if we have a vacation planned or can not attend for another reason?
A - It is very important for players to attend their tryout or assessments, especially if that player is new to River City FC.
For the Competitive & Academy programs, while we understand and try our best to work with all situations, we can not guarantee any sort of private tryout before or after tryout dates. It is important that your player is at the designated tryout date and time so that they may be assessed appropriately with their peers.

Q - When will my player be notified of their team placement or whether they have been selected for a tryout based team?
A - We aim to notify players and families of their placement/selection within 24 hours of the assessment/tryout date. In most cases, we will notify you sooner than that.
